COCKATOO - Designed by Jeff Byerley of Australia with the aid of a very complex software program, (Maxsurf), this boat is showing itself to be a "user friendly" design, and a race winner. Runner up in the Australian Nationals 2003. Winner of the 2002 New Zealand Nationals.
Specification - The hull is constructed from epoxy unpigmented resin with one layer of 100gm Glass twill and layer 295gm diagonally opposed. The deck is epoxy unpigmented resin with one layer 100gm twill and 2 layers 135gm plain weave. A special Glass fin/mast box allows easy adjustment for the mast rake is fitted. The hull/deck are then sprayed on completion.
